At Dream Catchers your child will be based in a room specific to their age group. Our ‘Discoverers’ room caters for our babies from birth up to when they are walking and exploring, our ‘Explorers’ room caters for our toddlers up to approximately 30 months of age and our ‘Inventors’ room caters for our preschool children up to them leaving us to transition to full time education. All rooms are well equipped and children will have access throughout the day to a range of activities and equipment appropriate to their development stage.

Activities are planned to meet individual needs according to The Early Years Foundation Stage document, (EYFS). All children are allocated a Key Person, who will ensure that each child is observed closely and monitored to ensure that the nursery caters for their needs and they meet the essential milestones through their early years journey.

All our observations, photographic evidence, planning and tracking is stored on an electronic data system, Emag, which allows us to ensure that children’s progress and development is recorded and monitored to the highest standard. Parents and Carers are also invited to attend regular review meetings with their Key Person to ensure that each child’s achievements are recognised and their progress can be discussed.

The rooms offer homely, stimulating, fun and inspiring environments that encourage exploration and investigation through play. They offer a bright, lively and busy environment where children can develop self-confidence and belief in themselves. They also offer children the opportunity to learn through a combination of planned activities, play and first-hand experiences in a colourful, attractive and stimulating environment.

All rooms

We provide an inclusive service which includes meals and snacks, wipes, bedding, and utensils. We ask that you provide nappies/pull-ups and several sets of clothes for your child to change into should the need arise. Coats, hats, gloves and scarfs are provided by the nursery in winter and sun hats and sun cream in summer, but you are welcome to provide your own if you wish.

We provide fresh milk and children have access to water throughout the day. The nursery is committed to offering children healthy, nutritious and balanced meals and snacks which meet individual needs and requirements and are within the guidelines set by the Local Early Years team.
The meals and snacks we provide are prepared freshly on site by our cook and provide a healthy, balanced diet.

All babies have a daily diary in which staff record food and fluid intake. Staff also discuss with Parents/Carers what their child has had to eat on a daily basis.
As Dream Catchers Parkgate is a new provision within Rotherham we are excited to develop connections within the local community which will allow us to visit and explore the amenities available with the children.
